Annual Membership Fees and Criteria for each membership category.

2026 Membership fees

Full Membership

R840

Registered Professional Nurses actively participating in any field of Occupational Health (in the Republic of South Africa), who are current paid-up members of SASOHN and SANC.

Affiliated Membership

R840

Any health professional other than a Registered Professional Nurse (e.g. Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, etc.) in any other field related to Occupational Health, or Occupational Health Nursing Practitioners registered and working in other countries, or Enrolled Nurses practising Occupational Health in South Africa.

Honorary Life membership

R340

Awarded, as per the set criteria in the SASOHN Rules of Procedure, to a member who has served with distinction in any field of Occupational Health Nursing. The right to award Honorary Life Membership resides with the SASOHN Executive Committee whose decision shall be final.

Retired Membership

Please note (Locum OHPs): Locum OHPs who are still actively employed must retain full membership with SASOHN to ensure full compliance with Medical Malpractice insurance requirements. Age is not the determining factor for locum status — it is the active engagement in Occupational Health practice.

Retired Membership (age 65+)

R420 (50% reduction)

Retired Members are those who have reached retirement age by 1 September of the specific calendar year and are no longer gainfully employed in the field of Occupational Health, but wish to retain their membership with SASOHN.

Retired Membership (age 60–64)

R630 (25% reduction)

Retired Members are those who have reached retirement age by 1 September of the specific calendar year and are no longer gainfully employed in the field of Occupational Health, but wish to retain their membership with SASOHN.
